Accra, May 5 — In one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak edged out arch-rivals Asante Kotoko with a stunning 2-1 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The match kicked off with high intensity, and it was Hearts who broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute through a well-placed header by striker Daniel Afriyie.
Kotoko responded strongly after the break, equalizing in the 57th minute. However, the Phobians sealed the win with a late goal in the 83rd minute, sending their fans into a frenzy.
