Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak Triumph Over Kotoko in Thrilling Derby

Accra, May 5 — In one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak edged out arch-rivals Asante Kotoko with a stunning 2-1 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The match kicked off with high intensity, and it was Hearts who broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute through a well-placed header by striker Daniel Afriyie.

Kotoko responded strongly after the break, equalizing in the 57th minute. However, the Phobians sealed the win with a late goal in the 83rd minute, sending their fans into a frenzy.

Hearts of Oak now move to second place in the table, just two points behind the leaders. The derby, often dubbed the "Super Clash," lived up to its name once again.
